Clerk to Governors

Pebsham Primary Academy is seeking to appoint a Clerk to Governors to help support our Governors in the vital role they play in our school. The successful candidate will have very high professional standards, considerable discretion and be highly organised, demonstrating integrity in all they do. First-rate minute taking skills are essential. You will be comfortable in dealing with a range of stakeholders from governors, the academy trust, central and local government officials and a diverse range of individuals and groups within the local community

We would like to hear from you if you are an experienced Clerk or governance professional, or if you are someone who can offer what we are looking for in key areas and would be excited to learn and develop in the role with our support. You will need to be able to manage your own time effectively, be comfortable chasing busy people to ensure deadlines are met and confident in taking the initiative to find relevant information on behalf of the Governing Body. A flexible approach to working hours is essential, to accommodate daytime and evening meetings, as is your tact, diplomacy and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. You will also need to be confident in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel and email and have access to a computer and the internet.

The post involves both morning and late afternoon meetings.

Hours: 175 hours per annum plus 10 hours for training

Salary: Single Status Grade 7: £21702 - £22330 per annum (As this position is part time and term time only, the salary is pro-rata)
