Pebsham Welcomes BBC Gladiator

Pebsham Primary Academy welcomes TV star from BBC's Gladiators to help promote children's health and wellbeing

Pebsham Primary Academy,  was honoured to welcome elite athlete, fitness ambassador, and role model Zack George, widely known as “Steel,”from BBC’s Gladiators for an inspiring visit that left pupils motivated, energised, and full of confidence.

Zack, recognised as one of the UK’s fittest men and a leading figure in health and wellbeing, spent the morning engaging with pupils across the school. His visit as part of his ongoing work through "Zactiv - Anything is possible" initiative included an uplifting assembly and classroom discussions centred around confidence, healthy eating and the importance of maintaining a positive mindset.

Headteacher Mr Benton, described the visit as “a truly powerful experience for our pupils,” adding:

“Zack’s message about believing in yourself, overcoming setbacks, and working hard to achieve your goals is exactly what we want our children to hear. His story resonated deeply with our Children, and his message of self confidence is instilled within our school PRIDE Values.”

Throughout the morning, Zack encouraged pupils to challenge themselves, celebrate their strengths, and embrace healthy habits. The pupils had the opportunity to ask Zack questions about his training, nutrition, and journey from childhood challenges to international success.

The visit forms part of Pebsham Primary Academy’s ongoing commitment to promoting physical activity, mental wellbeing, and positive role models within the school community.
